Hemp Black™ /eco6™

A natural, plant-based, carbon-negative replacement for conventional petroleum-based Carbon Blacks, recognized by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) as a Negative Emission Technology (NET).

Traditional carbon black is incredibly unsustainable, considered a Group 2B Carcinogen, and derived from fossil fuels that emit tail gasses of H2, CO, N2, C02, hydrocarbons, nitrogen and sulfur compounds.

eco6™ is a carbon-negative ‘carbon black’ colorant that works effectively in polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, nylon, and many other thermoplastic polymers, and can be utilizes in fossil and non-fossil applications, or as a blend of both.

When used with plastic compounds, eco6™ can add value by being utilized for sound dampening, vibration deadening, as a thermal insulator, anti-slip agent, a reinforcing filler, coloring pigment, UV barrier, or anti-static additive. Additionally, it can be manufactured in processes such as injection and compression molding, extrusion, thermoforming, etc.

eco6™ can be used in the production of both hybrid and totally biodegradable bio-plastic of bio-composite products.
